:::About
me:::
I have been using SW since late 1995, early 1996.
I acquired my CSWP at the 2001 SWWC in Orlando Florida. I have had
Level 3 Excel Training to help in the making of interesting and
unique Design Tables and Automation tools during the period of 2000
to 2002. Since that time I now have my CSWST certification and working
this year for my PDMWorks Certification.
Presently I work for Fisher Unitech one of the
biggest and one of fastest growing VAR's. Our area includes Indiana,
Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinios, Missouri, and Kansas. Only
been with the Company for a few months and I have to admit this
is a big change from the previous VAR. I worked for 3DVision and
3DVision was a great place to work. But I have more opportunities
here and have a chance to further my education in SW and the add-ins
as will as my career.
Previously I worked for another VAR in the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
area. I have learned a lot about Solidworks and all the add-ins.
PDMworks is amoung the list, along with Routing and Electrical.
Working for a VAR is a great job and by having such a job you learn
and respect those that do this everyday. Customer service is not
easy to do and it takes skill and patience along with a good attitude
to help calm down those customers that are just down right rude.
But I got my foundation at 3DVision and I have to give them a big
Thank you for all their support and help that they gave me over
the years of service there. So if you are reading this Todd
Majeski, THANK YOU!
Before I came on board with 3DVision 5 years ago (2003). I worked
at George Koch Sons, LLC. My job at George Koch Sons, LLC was to
find the best way to make Solidworks work in a strickly AutoCAD
enviroment. At the time they wanted to move CAD systems over to
Solidworks. I did plenty of large assembly jobs that in the end
turned out to be some of the best learning experiences and time
reducers I had ever done. The Large assemblies were completely in-contexted
(Top-Down Design) and the use some Intermediate to Advanced Excel
coding of a Design table. One job that I was very impressed with
cut the design time down by 75% from the time of Concept to finished
drawings. The assemblies were fully automated and just needed a
series of choices to be selected and the assembly updated and the
drawings were completed. Outside of some Cosmetic changes the drawings
were complete.
I started at Hansen Corporation 6 months after I graduated from
College in Fall of 1994. While I was there I built and learned how
to design small electric motors in Solidworks. My primary job there
was to make changes required by Engineering Change Orders. I managed
to get over 2500 drawings done in just over 4.5 years. The totale
drawings at the time was around 5000 total drawings. Some of the
drawings where not in the computer system when the ECO was released
to me. So the parts\assemblies had to be created first and then
the drawings completed later. Solidworks was released 6 months after
I had taken this job and we started it using sometime after that.
Solidworks is a GREAT program and has given me a lot of opportunies
and happiness. Solidworks has provided me a skill and love for design
that I never thought I would ever have before. My desire to use
the system and design on it has been absoluetly great and I would
not change any of it.
Thank you,
